OxS Mission 9

Mini fanfic to go along with the pic:

Kaetix walked past Zexion’s room, hoping to catch a glimpse of him, or even get enough guts to ask him to get ice cream with her, such an overused topic, thanks to Roxas. She strolled on, and stopped when she saw he was lying on his bed, asleep.
His breathing was even, and his hand overlapping an open book he’d been reading before.
This was too great an opportunity to pass up; Kaetix entered the Schemer’s room, and set the book on a small end table. She carefully lay next to him, to get closer. The Sprite studied his face, becoming fixated once in a while on his eyes darting in every direction under his closed lids. I wonder what he’s dreaming… she thought.
She had her senses take in anything they could: the scent of his hair, the spectrum of colors he had, the hollow breathing uninterrupted by the missing heart that would have lured her closer to rest her ear against him. She scooted closer still, cuddling ever so slightly hoping not to disturb him. She smiled, and closed her eyes.
Her eyes flashed open when she realized he’d wrapped his arms around her. Crap she thought, I’d better get outta here before he gets mad at me.
She tried to shrug out of what she thought was a sleepy hold, but stopped.
“What’s the rush?” he asked.
“I-I’m sorry” she whispered, blushing.
“It’s alright.” He hugged her closer.
“I’ll admit, I’ve been a little confused. Why is it that you’re more quiet around me than anyone else?”
“Because…I never know what to say.”
“Really.”
“Yes. Did you know you basically intoxicate me?”
“Somehow, by the fact that you’re here with me like this, I believe that’s possible.”
“Should I go now?”
“If you’d like. I like getting hugs like this, by the way. Just because it’s for no reason other than to be close.”
“I think I’ll stay for a bit. I like the feeling of security. I like being here in your arms.”


Dang... how long have I had this one? Eh, maybe for a few weeks, but then I decided to upload it when I found I could use this as a mission for ~OrganizationxSociety!
Anyway, the story for this is a little old, and I could've probably done a little better, but oh well, I like it as it is.
